Update on Aldershot Town fixture

Both Aldershot Town and Hartlepool United wish to provide the following update after this evening’s pitch inspection at The EBB Stadium.

An initial pitch inspection took place this evening and the match official, after conversation with both clubs, has decided that a further inspection will take place at 10:30am tomorrow morning.

A local referee has inspected the pitch and, after consistent rainfall this afternoon/evening, deemed the pitch unplayable as things stand.

However, with the rain forecasted to stop shortly after midnight, and no rain forecasted tomorrow, the match official has decided that a decision cannot be made tonight and the pitch must be given the best possible chance to drain.

We will provide an update once the inspection has taken place tomorrow morning.

We thank supporters for their patience, and the match official and Aldershot Town for their constant communication today.
