Hartlepool United can confirm Louis Stephenson has returned to the Prestige Group Stadium upon the expiration of his loan spell at Whitby Town.

The defender joined Whitby at the end of November and made six appearances during his time with Gary Liddle’s side, including a Man of the Match performance on his debut against Lancaster City.

Stephenson has now returned to Pools upon the expiration on his loan and is available for selection in the first team squad.
