Pools to host Open Training Session for supporters

Hartlepool United will welcome supporters inside The Prestige Group Stadium for a special Open Training Session on Tuesday 14th April, offering a rare opportunity to experience the first-team environment up close.

The session will see Manager Nicky Featherstone and Coach Gary Liddle lead preparations on the pitch in front of supporters, providing a behind-the-scenes insight into the standards and intensity of first-team training.

Turnstiles will open from 10 am, with training commencing at 11 am, before players remain pitchside to meet supporters for photographs and autographs.

A full matchday-style experience will be in place across the morning, with the Club bar and catering outlets open, alongside family-friendly activities including an inflatable target goal delivered in partnership with Hartlepool United Community Sports Foundation.

Club mascot H’Angus will also be in attendance, engaging with supporters and adding to the family-friendly atmosphere across the morning.

Rose Stoker, Commercial & Operations Director at Hartlepool United, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for our supporters, especially younger fans, to get closer to the players and coaching staff and to experience first-hand what a typical training session looks like.

It’s not something people often get to see, so being able to open that up and give supporters a behind-the-scenes insight into how the team prepares is really important to us.

There will also be the chance to meet the players, take photos and get autographs, which always means a lot, particularly for younger supporters. Creating those moments and bringing people closer to the Club is something we place real value on.”

Tickets are available now via the Club website.
