Pools sign Besart Topallaj on loan

Hartlepool United are happy to announce the signing of Besart Topallaj on loan from Bromley until the end of January with an option for the move to be made permanent.

The 24-year-old defender spent last season on loan at Sutton United, playing 25 games in the National League and scoring once.

Coming through the Millwall ranks, the Kosovan has played over 80 games in the National League for Dagenham & Redbridge, Sutton and Bromley.

Topallaj was a part of the Bromley team that was promoted to the Football League in 2024, playing 36 times in the Play-Off-winning campaign.

On signing for Pools, Topallaj said:

“It feels great to be here, it is such a big Club.

“The fans – if you’re playing for them – I’m sure that’s a great feeling

“I cannot wait to get started.”

Pools boss Simon Grayson said:

“Bes has great experience playing in the National League for both Bromley and Sutton.

“He is a player who is very comfortable anywhere on the left-hand side of the team, something that will boost us massively.”
