Match Preview | Wealdstone (A)

Hartlepool United travel to Grosvenor Vale to take on Wealdstone under the midweek lights in the Enterprise National League

After Pools stood up Sutton United on Valentine’s Day due to a failed pitch inspection, Nicky Featherstone and his team make the long-distance travel to Ruislip.

The fixture was brought forward following the Stones’ progress in the Isuzu FA Trophy meant a midweek trip awaited for Pools.

The Opposition

Wealdstone currently sit 15th in the fifth tier, seven points above the drop zone.

The Stones have had turbulent form, starting the calendar year off strong with three straight wins, but now are three games without a win, fresh off a 3-0 defeat at the hands of York City.

Sam Cox’s side are looking to keep their lead on those below them, with six points separating the Stones and Braintree Town in 20th.

Micah Obiero and Nathan Tshikuna sit joint-top of their goalscoring charts with five apiece.

Last Time Out

Pools hosted the Stones in November at the Prestige Group Stadium.

Alex Reid gave Pools the lead early on against his former Club, before Tshikuna equalised almost instantly.

Danny Johnson saw his last-minute poke home ruled offside.

Match Officials

Harry Wager is the referee for Tuesday’s fixture.

They will be assisted by Anastasiya Volushchuk and Michael Hayden.

Grzegorz Kornasiewicz is the fourth official.

Information for supporters

This fixture will be played at Grosvenor Vale Stadium, Grosvenor Vale, Ruislip, HA4 6JQ – kicking off at 19:45.

WFC recommend that supporters travel to Grosvenor Vale via public transport as the Club is remarkably well served by tube, train and bus routes.

Grosvenor Vale is ideally located near four tube stations, Ruislip and Ruislip Manor on the Uxbridge branch of the Piccadilly and Metropolitan lines and Ruislip Gardens and West Ruislip on the Central line. Ruislip is the nearest station to the stadium, just 500 metres away
