Pools are fresh from victory over Woking on Saturday, winning 3-0 at the Prestige Group Stadium.

Jermaine Francis and Cam John scored their first goals for the Club as Alex Reid scored for the third consecutive game.

Their opponents, Southend United, have also had a positive start to the campaign.

The Shrimpers are level at the top of the National League with Pools and Forest Green Rovers on 10 points.

They are fresh from a 1-0 win away to Truro City, courtesy of Sam Austin.
