Hartlepool United make the shortest away trip of their Enterprise National League season to Gateshead for the first North East derby of the campaign.
Simon Grayson’s side travel to the Gateshead International Stadium fresh from a 1-0 loss away to Aldershot Town at the weekend, and will look to find their first win since late August.
Pools are also searching for their first goal in three games – Luke Charman’s rocket against Boston United was the last time they have found the back of the net.
Gateshead are the hosts, themselves in search of an elusive first win since August Bank Holiday.
The Heed are without a win in all competitions in their last six games, failing to register a goal in three of those.
However, Pools have a poor record at the GIS, losing three of their last four visits to Tyneside.
A 2-2 draw on Boxing Day 2017 was the last time Pools left Gateshead with a point.
Last Time Out
The two sides last met on the penultimate day of last season at the Prestige Group Stadium, with Pools running out 3-2 winners.
Luke Charman scored the first of the game as Pools went into the break with a 2-0 lead.
Despite two second-half goals from Heed, Pools held on to keep North East bragging rights.
