Pools forward Alfie Steel, on loan at Ossett United, scored his first senior goal on Saturday afternoon.
The striker returned to the starting line-up and scored just after the hour mark as Ossett fell to a 2-1 defeat away to Bradford Park Avenue.
The result leaves Ossett 16th in the Northern Premier League East Division, with a trip to Dunston next on the agenda.
“There’s many positives to take from it,” Ossett manager James Walshaw told the club website at full time.
“Alfie has got his first goal, he’s off the mark, and I’m sure he’s going to score many more in the future.”
It was a double game week for central defender, Manny Onariase.
The 28-year-old, on loan at Maidenhead United, faced promotion chasers York City and Forest Green Rovers.
Onariase played the full 90 as the Magpies suffered a 3-1 defeat to York in midweek, before he was used as a substitute in a 2-0 defeat at Forest Green on Saturday.
Maidenhead sit 22nd in the National League, two points from safety, and welcome Braintree Town on Tuesday night.
Joe Aungiers made his second appearance for Whitby Town on Saturday afternoon, coming off the bench on 75 minutes against Worksop Town.
Whitby were trailing 1-0 before former Pools midfielder Lewis Hawkins equalised on 83 minutes, only for promotion-chasing Worksop to score twice in stoppage time.
The defeat sees Whitby drop to 18th in the Northern Premier League Premier Division, one point above relegation.

Charlie Berry was the only other Poolie in action this week.
The Academy midfielder made the starting 11 as West Auckland Town fell to a 2-1 defeat at Newcastle Benfield on Tuesday night.
Berry then came on as a 73rd minute substitute as West Auckland played out a 3-3 draw with Boro Rangers, with late goals from both sides.
Gary Forrest’s side sit 13th in Northern League Division One and take on Carlisle City next weekend.
