Darren Robinson joins on loan

Hartlepool United are pleased to announce the loan signing of Derby County midfielder Darren Robinson until January 1st.

The central midfielder, who captains Derby’s U21 side, has played four times for County’s first team and is also a Northern Ireland U21 international.

Robinson won Derby’s Scholar of the Year award in 2022 and 2023, and signed a two-year contract extension at Pride Park in May.

He will wear the number 26 shirt at The Prestige Group Stadium and will be eligible to make his debut in tonight’s National League fixture away to Tamworth.

Upon joining Pools, Robinson stated:

“I’m delighted to get this opportunity to join such a big club on loan. I can’t wait to get started and hopefully have a successful period here – I’m really looking forward to it.”
