Community | RAF Donation

The RAF Association (RAFA) Hartlepool Branch recognises the work and support that the Hartlepool United FC Community Armed Forces Veterans HUB provides for the RAF Veterans and the wider towns’ EX Service Veterans Community.

The support provided by the Veterans HUB through the Monday Drop-In Centre at the 1908 Bar, sporting and social activities results in a social inclusion programme that helps maintain mental and physical wellbeing and reduce isolation & loneliness within the Ex-Service veteran’s community.

In recognition of the Veterans HUB’s work and aims that benefit the RAF Veterans and other Armed Forces veterans, the RAFA Hartlepool Branch has donated £1000 to help fund the HUB’s activities.

The photo shows the cheque donation at the HUB’s Christmas Party held Monday 15 December, supported by Ex-Service Veterans, with a cheque being presented on behalf of RAFA Hartlepool by David Stacey, Treasurer & Welfare Officer (R), accepted by John Dauncey (L) and Keith Nobbs (Centre) of the Veterans HUB.

Great thanks and appreciation also to Brian Coward, who attends our Armed Forces Veterans Hub on a regular basis and has donated £1,000.

Brian has supported Hartlepool United since 194,6 selling programmes and is a regular season ticket holder and a great supporter of the Club.
