Community Foundation enjoy summer success

Hartlepool United Community Sports Foundation have had an extra busy school holiday period this summer.

The Foundation have had the pleasure of working with so many children and young people across a range of sessions. Through the Hartlepool Activities Fund (HAF), they engaged with more than 25 children each day, providing free fun football sessions and a lunch each day.

Alongside that, their summer soccer course had great numbers once again, with over 25 children in attendance each day. They also ran their popular girls-only soccer courses. Led by female coaches, they had more than 40 girls attending each week, taking part in competitions, games and skills challenges.

In addition to the daily sessions, the Foundation staff worked with a number of local charities and organisations.

They supported Trimdon Community College by delivering some bespoke football days, attended by more than 35 children each day. More bespoke football days were arranged for Daisy Chain, a registered charity based in Stockton that supports autistic and neurodivergent children and young people. These were well received by the children who all had fun playing football.

The Foundation now look forward to the 2024/2025 academic year where they’ll be working with various schools and groups, using the power of the Football Club to engage and enhance the lives of those they work with.
