Academy Talent ID Trial announced for February

Hartlepool United Academy will be holding a Talent ID trial day ahead of the 2026/27 season during the February half-term.
A number of players have come through the academy set-up over recent years and featured for the Hartlepool United first team, with the latest being Kian Foreman, who has signed a professional contract after impressing within the Club’s academy.
The set-up involves Pools working closely with Hartlepool Sixth Form College, offering a variety of outstanding educational opportunities alongside the opportunity to represent our thriving academy.
We will also be trialling for our U16s intake for the 2026/27 season, with the age group continuing to compete in the Junior Premier League.
The Talent ID trials will be for current U15, U16 and U17 footballers (School Years 10, 11 & 12) and will be overseen by the Club’s academy coaching staff and Hartlepool Sixth Form staff.
All players must pre-register by completing the online form.
To register for our Talent ID trials, please complete the online form by visiting:
This is a first-come, first-served opportunity.
We will close the application process when the allocated spaces are filled or on Monday, 16th February.
You will receive an email with our Hartlepool United Academy information pack attached.
Within that pack, there will be full details including date, time, location, pathway, courses, code of conduct and much more.
Please note that not everyone’s time for their Talent ID trial will be the same, so it’s important to read all the information carefully.
If you have any questions, please get in touch by emailing academy@hartlepoolunited.co.uk.
