Academy duo head out on dual registration

Two Academy players have joined Northern Premier League sides on short-term dual registrations as they look to gain senior experience.

Defender Tye Grundle has linked up with Bishop Auckland, who sit 11th in the East Division.

The young centre-back will be eligible to make his debut on Saturday afternoon as the Blues welcome Bradford (Park Avenue).

Meanwhile, Joe Aungiers has moved to the Premier Division with Whitby Town.

Aungiers featured for the Pools first team in pre-season and has been named on the bench several times in the National League.

The midfielder now heads to Whitby, managed by former Pools defender Gary Liddle, who sit 16th in the table.

Two other scholars are also currently on dual registration deals in Charlie Berry (West Auckland Town) and Alfie Steel (Ossett United).
