Tamworth pitch inspection planned

There will be a 1pm pitch inspection for this afternoon’s Isuzu FA Trophy tie against Tamworth at the Prestige Group Stadium.

The pitch has been verti-drained this week in anticipation of the bad weather and to minimise the surface water.

As it stands, this has worked and the pitch is playable. However, we need to closely monitor the level of rain over the next few hours and work with the match officials to establish whether the game is safe to go ahead.

With Storm Darragh taking over the UK, high-speed winds are also being taken into consideration, with supporter safety a priority.

A further update will be made upon the conclusion of the pitch inspection.
