Hartlepool United exit the Durham Challenge Cup following a 5-1 defeat to Consett at Victoria Park.
Kian Foreman was on the scoresheet again for Pools, but a brace from Isaac Walker alongside goals from Matthew Todd, Will Constantin and Noah Inneh sealed victory for the Steelmen.
The visitors took the lead on 16 minutes. Lowery’s strike was saved by Conyard, but the rebound fell to Todd, who tapped home to open the scoring.
Consett doubled their advantage on 22 minutes when Walker collected a loose ball on the edge of the box before driving a shot into the bottom left-hand corner of Conyard’s goal.
Lewis Cuggy went close to reducing the deficit shortly afterwards, but his curling effort drifted wide of Harry Moss’s far post.
Walker claimed his second of the match on 35 minutes, pouncing on a loose ball before calmly stroking his effort past Conyard.
Young Pools pulled a goal back on the stroke of half-time when Foreman collected Owen Kingsland’s pass on the left and drove forward before curling his effort into Moss’ far corner.
Alex Cross’ side returned from the interval with a point to prove and almost responded through Matthew Taylor’s 20-yard drive.
The visitors put the game to bed inside the final 10 minutes, when Constantin poked home Calvin Smith’s flick-on to add the Steelmen’s fourth of the evening.
Smith was involved in the thick of the action again moments later, linking up with Substitute Inneh, who made no mistake from an acute angle.
