Women’s squad Christmas message

Hartlepool United Women’s coach, Andy Stuart, has provided a Christmas update from the squad.

“The theme for this year has been all about change. As with every team, there comes a point when players and coaching teams move on for a host of reasons and this is followed by a period of transition which is reflected with the current squad which is definitely the youngest I have known in my 12 years associated with the Club.

“On the plus side, the level of quality and technical ability of the new players is fantastic.

“The first half of the season hasn’t gone completely our way, with some results going against us that we feel we could have won.

“However, the squad has become more settled through the experience gained so far and this, coupled with some recent additions, fills both the squad and the coaching team with an air of optimism for the New Year and second half of the season.

“Best wishes to you all from everyone at Hartlepool United Women. We hope you have a fantastic Christmas and a happy New Year.”
