Women | Pools return to winning ways against Park View

Hartlepool United Women secured an impressive 4–2 victory over Park View, following a strong and energetic performance.

Pools started the game on the front foot, immediately applying pressure and creating several early opportunities, with efforts narrowly flashing wide of the target. Their attacking intent set the tone for the first half, as they looked the more dangerous side throughout.

Their persistence paid off just before the break when Liv Bell calmly finished one-on-one with the goalkeeper to give Hartlepool a deserved lead heading into half-time.

The second half started of a similar nature however against the run of play Park View found the back of the net, however Pools retook the lead soon after when Liv Bell played through a lovely ball to Grace Raw who calmly slotted the ball home.

Pressure then paid off from a Hartlepool Corner Ball when Caitlin Bates placed a brilliant ball in the area which was volleyed home from close range by Emily Stuart.

Just minutes later, Pools extended their lead further from a free kick when Grace Raw rose highest to head the ball on, allowing Becca Emery to fire home and add a fourth.

Park View managed to grab a consolation goal in the closing stages, but it was Hartlepool who remained in control as the match concluded at Riverside Sports Pavilion.

A clinical performance from Pools ensured they came away with all three points. They will now look to build momentum and push on for a winning run, with Norton & Stockton Ancients Reserves up next on Thursday night.
