Pools sign Nathan Ferguson

Hartlepool United Football Club are happy to announce the signing of midfielder Nathan Ferguson

The 29-year-old joins Pools as a free agent after impressing manager Simon Grayson while training with the squad.

Ferguson is familiar with the Enterprise National League setting, with 149 of his 263 career games being played in the fifth tier.

The midfielder has also represented Guyana at international level, scoring once in his 11 caps for his country.

On joining Pools, Ferguson said:

“It’s good [to be here].

“It is a big Club with a big following.

“The Gaffer told me to come down and enjoy myself.”

Pools boss Simon Grayson said:

“We are pleased to have brought Nathan to the Club.

“He ticked a lot of the boxes that we had when he first came in to train, and is the type of player we have been looking to add to the group.

“He is rich in experience as well, so he will add plenty of experience to this side, which will boost us.”

Ferguson’s availability for Saturday’s game with Brackley Town is subject to league ratification.
