OnSide announced as Official Wellbeing Partner

Hartlepool United Football Club is pleased to announce OnSide as the Club’s new Official Wellbeing Partner.

The initiative is a football-led wellbeing programme built for Clubs, supporters and their wider communities, providing human-led support for supporters and their families when it is needed most.

OnSide is powered by huddleUp, a UK-based wellbeing organisation specialising in human-led mental health and wellbeing support, delivered through confidential conversations with trained people.

As part of the partnership, an OnSide affiliate will be present at every Hartlepool United home game at a clearly signposted OnSide huddlePoint.

The huddlePoint will provide a discreet space for supporters to speak to someone face-to-face, access guidance and be signposted to further support if needed.

Supporters can speak in confidence about a wide range of issues, from day-to-day pressures and financial worries to stress, anxiety and mental wellbeing.

Rose Stoker, Commercial & Operations Director at Hartlepool United, said: “OnSide is a partnership that matters for Hartlepool United.

“Pools is a club built around its people, and our supporters face the same realities as everyone else in our town.

“When someone is going through a difficult spell, access to practical, face-to-face support can make a real difference.

“OnSide helps us make that support more visible and easier to access, with a discreet matchday presence and a route to support beyond the stadium, backed by huddleUp.”

Conner Botterill, CEO of huddleUp, said: “Bringing OnSide to Hartlepool United is an important partnership for us.

“Supporters face the realities of everyday life, whether that’s work, family life, financial worries or challenges with stress and wellbeing.

“OnSide is built around face-to-face conversations with trained people, providing support that is human, discreet and grounded in real life.

“Pools sits at the heart of its community, and we’re pleased to work alongside the Club to ensure supporters, families and the wider community can access help when they need it.”

Further details on the OnSide huddlePoint, including location and matchday availability, will be shared via the Club’s official channels.
