Courtney Duffus signs for Pools

8 January 2024

Hartlepool United are delighted to announce the loan signing of Courtney Duffus until the end of the season from League Two side Barrow.

The striker, who is proven at National League level, came through Everton’s youth system and played for Bury and Oldham Athletic before enjoying a two-year spell with Yeovil Town where he scored 21 times across National League and League Two.

He then played with National League side Bromley before earning a move to League One with Morecambe, which latterly included a loan spell to Stockport County during their National League title win in 2022.

Duffus, who has been at Barrow since June, signs at the Suit Direct Stadium in time for Tuesday's trip to Fylde. He will wear the number 36 shirt.

Upon joining Hartlepool, Duffus stated:

"I'm absolutely delighted and I can't wait to get going. I've heard good things about playing here and Hartlepool is a big club so it was a no-brainer. I want to play as many games as I can and score goals to help the team."
