Foundation: A packed February half-term camp!

23 February 2024

Hartlepool United Community Sports Foundation have wrapped up their most recent half-term sports camp at High Tunstall College.

Between 30 and 40 children, aged 8 to 12, attended each day of the half-term course.

They enjoyed several fun-filled activities, and even got the chance to watch the Pools first team train on Thursday morning before taking photos and getting autographs.

It marks the first holiday camp of the New Year for the Foundation, with many more set to follow. Email hucsf@hartlepoolunited.co.uk to register your interest for future courses.

It's been a busy week for the Foundation, who also ran free football sessions for teenagers alongside the Cleveland Police and Crime Commissioner.

On top of that, the Armed Forces Veterans group played bowling and badminton on Monday afternoon. The weekly Women's Wellbeing group sessions continued in the 1908 Bar, as well as the Play for Life five-a-side sessions at High Tunstall College.

Hartlepool United Community Sports Foundation Manager, Keith Nobbs, commented:

"We've had a really busy week in the February half-term but it's been great to see everyone. It's fantastic having all the children at the half-term camp as they make new friends and learn new skills. We've also continued our work with the rest of the local community, and we look forward to next week when we're back visiting schools after the half-term period."

The Foundation have also launched their clothes appeal to go with their foodbank scheme. Click here for more details.
