Brennan Dickenson joins on loan

2 February 2024

Hartlepool United are pleased to announce the signing of Brennan Dickenson on loan from Oldham Athletic until the end of the season.

The versatile winger has played more than 200 times in the Football League, with over 11 seasons of experience.

A former Southampton and Brighton youngster, Dickenson spent two years at League One side Gillingham before winning the 2017 Player of the Year award for Colchester United.

The left-footer then went on to play for MK Dons, Exeter City and Carlisle United during his experienced career before putting pen to paper at Oldham in the summer.

Dickenson will wear the number 38 shirt at the Suit Direct Stadium. He will be eligible to make his debut in Saturday's National League fixture away to Bromley.

Upon joining Pools, Dickenson stated:

"I'm very pleased to be here and hopefully I can hit the ground running. I've played at the Suit Direct Stadium a few times over the years and the fans are always great here. I'm looking forward to being out there and getting started."

Hartlepool United Head Coach, Kevin Phillips, added:

"I'm delighted that Brennan has decided to join us. He's a wide player with a fantastic left foot. He's got great attributes - he's got physicality and can be quite direct, but he's also very sharp and can take a player on. He will create competition in the squad and it's an opportunity for him to show what he's about."
