Hartlepool United are pleased to announce the signing of young goalkeeper Josh Mazfari on a deal until the end of the season.
Nineteen-year-old Mazfari has signed for the Club having trained with John Askey’s side over the last few weeks, as well as appearing for the Pools academy side.
A former England Schoolboy, Mazfari turned professional with Huddersfield Town and became a regular for their U19s. The shot-stopper has also gained senior experience with Thornaby and Tadcaster Albion.
He will wear the number 16 shirt at the Suit Direct Stadium.
Hartlepool United assistant manager, Mark Goodlad, commented:
“Josh has been with us for a few weeks and done really well. He’s fitted straight in with our group of keepers, and we’ve been able to assess what level he’s currently at and where he needs to improve. He’s a good, young goalkeeper with plenty of potential.”
