Hartlepool United are pleased to announce Zak Johnson's loan deal from Sunderland has been extended until January 2024.
The young centre-back has been ever-present in the Pools backline since arriving last month, making six appearances at the Suit Direct Stadium.
Upon extending his stay at Pools, Johnson commented:
“I’m delighted to extend my loan with the Club. I’ve enjoyed my time at Pools so far and feel as though I’m developing well. I’ve enjoyed getting games under my belt and gaining experience in senior football, and hopefully we can start picking up some good results in the coming weeks.”
Johnson missed Tuesday's fixture at Halifax following a groin injury. The defender will be assessed in training this week ahead of Saturday's game.
