The 2023/24 National League fixtures have been released, and it's a trip to Barnet up first for John Askey's side. Pools will head south to The Hive on August 5th to face the Bees.
Barnet finished fifth last season, losing to Boreham Wood in the play-off eliminator. Led by manager Dean Brennan, the Bees will be gearing up for another tilt at promotion this term.
Pools' first home fixture comes a week later, as north-east neighbours Gateshead come to town. August is then rounded out with games against Maidenhead (H), Southend United (A), AFC Fylde (H), and Chesterfield (A).
Oldham Athletic will be the opponents on Boxing Day and New Year's Day, with Pools hosting the Latics on December 26th and heading to Boundary Park on January 1st.
Pools are also at home on Good Friday, with Halifax Town the visitors, while Askey's side will travel to Rochdale on Easter Monday.
Our other local fixtures are York City away on November 18th and at home on January 27th, while the reverse fixture with Gateshead is on March 9th.
The final game of the season will be away to Dorking Wanderers in their first season in the National League. The game is preceeded by two home games - Aldershot on April 6th and Dagenham & Redbridge on April 13th.
