After impressing in pre-season, we're delighted to announce that Anthony Mancini has joined the club permanently.
After a youth career in his native France with Saint-Priest, Lyon, and Tours, Mancini's senior career began with Angers II in 2018. After two years in western France, Mancini moved to England to join Burnley in 2020.
Most recently, he appeared for Accrington Stanley before taking part in Pools' pre-season clashes with Middlesbrough and Blyth Spartans, bagging an assist in the Boro game. The 22-year-old now links up with John Askey's side permanently and will be in the squad for upcoming matches against Redcar, Harrogate, and Sunderland before we start the campaign at Barnet.
I’m delighted to sign. I know first hand what the fans are like. I’m glad this is now over the line and we can all push on together.
John Askey commented:
We know he’s got quality and played higher up the division. He’s not just impressed in games but he’s also a good character around the place. We’re delighted to have Anthony onboard.
