Pools Sign Connor Jennings

31 January 2023

Hartlepool United are delighted to announce the signing of Connor Jennings. The experienced forward joins Pools on a permanent deal after leaving Stockport County.

A former youth player at Stalybridge Celtic, Jennings appeared for the Celts' senior side between 2009 and 2012 before joining League One Scunthorpe United. While under contract with the Iron, Jennings enjoyed loan spells at Stockport, Grimsby, and Macceslfield scoring 14 goals in 16 games for the Silkmen.

Permanent moves to Wrexham and Tranmere followed in 2014 and 2016 respectively, and he joined Stockport permanently in 2020. He's been on loan with Altrincham since November 2022, but now joins Keith Curle's side to bolster his attacking options.

Jennings is known for his pace and versatility, filling in at centre-forward, attacking midfield, and as a second striker.

Jennings said: "I'm buzzing to sign for Pools and I can't wait to get started. Once the interest was there, it was just a case of getting everything lined up. The manager has talked me through what he wants to achieve and I'm fully on board."

Keith Curle added: "Connor is a great signing for us and he'll compliment what we've already got up front. His pace will be an asset, but his all-round play is what we've been looking for in advanced areas."
