We are delighted to announce that Josh Umerah has won the PFA Fans Player Of The Month for January.
Having scored three goals in January against Harrogate, Carlisle and Rochdale, the frontman has beaten off competition and won the fan voted award.
Having already scored 13 goals in all competitions this season, Umerah expressed his delight:
'I have really enjoyed my time at Hartlepool, there is a lot more work to do but personally delighted to pick up the award. The Pools fans have been unbelievable to me and I can't thank them enough for their constant support.
Keith Curle added: 'We sat down and had a conversation with Josh in December and said we required more from him. We knew how well he was doing but we also knew he could give us more and be a real handful for any defence in this league. He took on that feedback really well and i'm delighted for the lad'.
