Hartlepool United are pleased to announce the signing of Ciaran Brennan on a short-term loan deal from Sheffield Wednesday.
Centre-back Brennan has made 18 senior appearances for Wednesday and also represented Ireland at youth level.
The 23-year-old has enjoyed previous loan spells with Gainsborough Trinity, Notts County and Swindon Town, playing 17 times in League Two last season.
Brennan will wear the number 34 shirt during his time at the Suit Direct Stadium. He's eligible for Saturday's Isuzu FA Trophy fixture away to City of Liverpool.
Upon signing for Pools, Brennan commented:
“I’m pleased to join Hartlepool United. It’s a big club and I’m looking forward to playing here. The lads have been very welcoming in training. I want to get a run of games under my belt and I can’t wait to get straight into the thick of things.”
