We are delighted to announce the loan signing of Jake Hull.

The defender joins the club from League One side Rotherham United till the end of the season.

The six-foot-six defender spent the first half of the 2021/22 season with National League North Side Guiseley AFC gainig vital first-team experience.

The academy graduate Jake Hull was handed professional terms in August 2020 after impressing during his two year scholarship with the club.

The 20-year-old had spent his youth development with Sheffield United.

The Sheffield-born defender also featured in the EFL Trophy for Rotherham this term, scoring twice and keeping two clean sheets as the Millers advanced to the second round.

Graeme Lee spoke about his new signing:

Very pleased to get Jake Hull in.  Another player who comes in with a great attitude and character. Has the attributes we were looking for in a defender and we know he can be a real success here. We would like to thank Rotherham as well for allowing Jake to spend the remainder of the season with us. We are looking forward to getting both the lads in with the squad this week ahead of Saturdays trip to Bristol.

Jake Hull added:

I am delighted to join Hartlepool for the rest of the season. It has all happened quite quickly but this is a huge club with great history and I can’t wait to get started. I have gained some first team experience with Guiseley this season but I am looking forward to working with Graeme who I know was a great defender and can help me develop my game.

Hull will be available for selection this weekend subject to EFL and FA clearance and will wear the number 15 shirt following the departure of Eddy Jones.
