We are delighted to announce Ben Killip has signed a new deal with the club ahead of the 2021/2022 EFL season.
Ben puts pen to paper to stay with the club for a third seasonafter joining from Braintree Town back in May 2019.
The goalkeeper was enjoying a great run in form last season making 29 appearances for Dave Challinor's side before damaging his elbow ligaments in a league game against Boreham Wood in April, ruling him out for the rest of the season.
The
Isleworth-born keeper started out his career at Chelsea, joining the club as an
Under-9 and working his way through the ranks to play for their Under-18s
before joining Norwich City in 2013.He built up
his senior experience with loan spells at King's Lynn Town and Lowestoft Town
prior to joining Grimsby Town for a season before his move to Braintree where
he made 38 appearances.Killip's eye-catching displays also won him recognition on the
international front and he won two England C caps during 2018/19, playing
against Estonia Under-23s in October and Wales in March.Dave Challinor gave his thoughts on Ben putting pen to paper:

He made big strides last season in terms of his maturity and decision making and thankfully his injury didn't derail our progress significantly. I'm absolutely delighted to re-sign with Hartlepool, last season was the best year of my career and haven't enjoyed being at a club as much as I have with Hartlepool. With the ambition of the club and the plans for the future it's something I wanted to been a part of.
