Match preview: Pools back on the road

15 February 2021

Hartlepool United travel to Eastleigh on Tuesday night for the second time this season as they look to continue the current good run of form. Kick off 5pm.

Dave Challinor's men travelled to the Silverlake Stadium in the middle of November 2020. A game live on BT Sport, had to be abandoned at half time due to huge down pour of rain. The teams went into the break at 0-0 with the pitch holding up the ball in every passage of play.

Now half way through the current season, Eastleigh find themselves in 8th. Just five places and five points behind Pools. The Spitfires last game came on Tuesday night as they defeated Yeovil at home. The hosts are currently on a five game unbeaten run.

After finishing 17th last season, manager brought 10 new signings through the door at the Silverlake. One new signing this season, Ryan Hill, scored in the 1-0 win on Tuesday night.

In recent history, the two teams have only met six times. Pools winning just one, drawing two and losing three. That one win came last January as goals from Shelton and Holohan brought home the three points.

Eastleigh will live stream the fixture via their website:
