Gavan Holohan has admitted his delight after putting pen to
paper on a new contract to keep him at Victoria Park until the end of the 2021/22
The midfield star arrived at the Club last February and has become a real fans favourite in the twelve months since as he earned a regular spot in the Pools engine room.
Boss Dave Challinor has opened talks with a number of his key
players in recent weeks and Holohan has now become the first to seal a deal and
commit his future to the Club.“I'm delighted to get it done – it's been in the pipelinefor a few weeks so I'm pleased to get it over the line,” Holohan told Pools TV.
“It shows the Manager's intent for next season that he wants
to get people tied down so once I knew there was interest in getting something
done I was delighted to do it as quickly as possible.“I feel like I have come a long way in a year and this shows
the faith the Club has in me so I really appreciate it and I hope to repay it
over the next couple of years.“I know where I'm going to be now and I can really look forwardand kick-on.
“The way my career has gone, I have been looking for somewhere
I can call home and I feel like I have found that here so I am delighted to
extend my stay.”https://youtu.be/DcW6aUmDWmk
