Pools Youth Team are back in action for the first time in 2020 on Wednesday afternoon when they host Chester in the NLFA North Division at Welfare Park in Blackhall (1pm kick-off).
Ian McGuckin's side have not played since the end of
November when they ran out 7-1 winners at Solihull Moors and they will be
hoping to maintain that kind of form going in to the New Year. With four games to come during January, McGuckin has
challenged the youngsters to lay down a marker for the rest of the season and
begin to move up the league table.“This is a good chance for us to really build some momentumnow,” he told us.
“Chester will be a tough game, we've had some real battles
with them over the last couple of seasons, but we want to get 2020 off to a
strong start.“It's been a bit stop-start so far this season for us in the
league but now we've got some good games coming up week after week so I want the
boys to really show what they can do.”Kick-off at Welfare Park is at 2pm and entry is free to all supporters.
