Match preview: Pools host Boreham Wood

Hartlepool United will be looking to bounce back from Tuesday night's defeat as they take on Boreham Wood at The Vic, sponsored by Joseph Parr.

Playing one less game than Pools, Boreham currently sit in 18th in the league table on nine points. Their record stands at played nine, won two and lost four.

Luke Garrard's men have recently tasted success with a 3-0 win on Saturday at Canvey Island which secured them a place in the third round of the FA Cup. However, in the league, the Wood are searching for their first win in four matches.

Throughout the summer, seven new signings came through the doors at Meadow Park, including one familiar man in Gus Mafuta who joined Garrard's side from The Vic.

Hartlepool has never been beaten by Boreham Wood. The two sides have met six times with Pools winning two and drawing four. Last seasons home tie in November 2019 ended 2-2, with the reverse fixture finishing 1-1 in February.
