Match preview: Pools head to Woking

11 December 2020

Hartlepool united will be looking to push on from Tuesday nights win as they take on Woking this weekend in the National League.

Two goals from debutant Luke Armstrong sealed the clash against King's Lynn mid week.   Pools currently sit 7th in the league table, just two points from third.

It has been a season of mixed fortunes up to now for Woking who sit 12th having won five, drawn two and lost five. They will be looking for their first win in 3 as they were defeated last Saturday by Notts County and the week before by Sutton.

There was a huge overhaul in the summer as 20 new signings came through the door at the Kingfield Stadium.

The two sides have only met 4 times in their history with Pools winning one, drawing two and losing one. The most recent clash came back in 2019 as Challinor's men faced a 2-1 loss with Toure grabbing the only goal on the day for Pools
