The National League sides have now entered the third round proper of the FA trophy with Pools drawing an away tie to Halifax Town.
The fixture will take place on Sat 19th December 2020 – 3pm KO.
With the draw in place, Hartlepool will now play Halifax three times in two weeks. A home fixture on boxing day and an away clash on the 2nd of January will follow the FA trophy game.
Manager Dave Challinor knows all about the FA trophy after lifting the cup at Wembley back in 2019 after his AFC Fylde side defeated Leyton Orient.
The two sides only met once last season as Pools were defeated 2-0 in August 2019 at The Shay Stadium. The Shayemn currently sit 13th in the current National League table, two points behind Challinor's men.
