Gary Liddle
has made his Hartlepool move permanent after a successful loan spell last
Liddle made
a return to The Vic in January from parent club Walsall and added to his
impressive 284 appearances that all started back in 2006.Liddle made his senior debut in Pools colours
back in August 2006 after Danny Wilson signed him from Middlesbrough and he
played a key role as the Club won promotion from League Two in 2006/07.He was crowned as joint Players' Player of
the Year alongside Michael Nelson during an impressive first season at The Vic,
going on to play 284 times and move 20th in the Club's list of all-timeappearance-makers.Local to the area, Gary is someone who knows
the club very well and the manager is excited to once again, get him involved
with the club:“It's great to see Liddle back involved. As
well as knowing the club so well, he has a real experienced head that we saw at
the back end of last season, he's a leader on the pitch and in the dressing
room as well so I'm delighted to get him signed up ready for a bust season
ahead”.Gary will
join with the rest of the squad straight away as they prepare for the new
season ahead.
