Liam Noble has admitted that he is not surprised by the fantastic Season Ticket sales for 2019/20 and insisted that the supporters will play a key role again next term.
The midfielder has penned a new deal to stay at the Club in to the fresh campaign and has revealed that being able to play in front of the Pools fans again was a key factor behind his decision.
Almost 1,100 fans have already snapped up Season Tickets and Noble says that having a packed house at The Super 6 Stadium can be one of the team’s biggest weapons – as long as the players do their bit on the pitch too.
“We’ve got one of the best followings, home and away, in this division,” he explained.
“The amount of fans we take away was something which took me by surprise last season because we travel such massive distances yet there’s always a brilliant following there to cheer us on.
“The fans also got right on board with us and the atmosphere at home games was unbelievable in the back part of the season so if they’re like that from the start this time we can feed off that.
“It’s down to the players to give them something though – I’m a fan and I know that if the lads are putting the effort in, flying in to tackles and doing the nitty gritty then the supporters will get behind you.
“One game towards the end of last season we lost but still got applauded off because they saw that effort and then the atmosphere and ovation we got after the Salford win was tremendous.
“We want more of that next season so it’s up to the players to perform.”
