Team News: FC Halifax Town v Pools

5 August 2019

Craig Hignett hinted at making changes to his starting

eleven following the disappointing opening day defeat to Sutton United at the

weekend.

The Pools boss looks set to be without Kenton Richardson

after the young defender turned his ankle during the second half of Saturday's

defeat at Victoria Park.

Fellow defender Peter Kioso will be assessed again after

missing out at the weekend with a calf problem and it's hoped he will return to

contention for the trip to West Yorkshire.

Club Captain Ryan Donaldson has sat out a chunk of pre-season with a calf problem but could be pushing for a return against The Shaymen.

Myles Anderson, Luke Molyneux and Luke Williams are moving closer to match fitness but Josh Hawkes (hamstring) remains sidelined.

New Halifax boss Pete Wild celebrated his first game incharge with an eye-catching 4-1 win at ten-man Ebbsfleet United on Saturday.

Wild has been busy in the transfer market since being

appointed and half of his travelling squad were new signings – Tobi Sho-Silva,

Jeff King, Jerome Binnom Willims and Danny Williams were all handed full

debuts.

Skipper Matty Brown shrugged off a dead leg which kept him

out of their friendly win at Oldham Athletic last week to prove his fitness

with ninety minutes at Ebbsfleet.
