Joe Grey departs Pools

Hartlepool United are disappointed to announce that Joe Grey has departed the Club.

Every effort was made to retain Joe, offering much-improved terms in which negotiations spanned several months.

We can also confirm that Joe has accepted an offer to join York City on a permanent transfer, with the fee due to be set via a tribunal, having rejected their only offer.

Grey joined the Pools Academy in 2019, making his first team debut in the 2020-21 season in a 4-0 win over Maidenhead United.

The 22-year-old has made over 150 appearances for Pools in all competitions, scoring 24 goals.

The Club would like to thank Joe for his time at Pools and wish him well in the future.
