Cameron John has expressed his excitement at returning to the Club after sealing a permanent move on Friday.
The 26-year-old has joined on a permanent deal, after making 40 appearances for Pools last season in a loan spell from York City.
On joining the club, the defender discussed his excitement of stepping back out in front of the Hartlepool fans.
“It’s really good to be back,” he said.
“I think it has been something that’s been in the works for a while – and I am just so glad to finally get it done.
“I can’t wait to be back playing in front of the fans, and be back at this club.”
John became a key part of last season’s squad, and he has spoken of his delight at sealing a permanent move.
He continued: “Last season was really good.
“I wasn’t shy about it; I really enjoyed my time here.
“Being on loan is something that I’ve chose a lot in my career, but it’s just good to be back here permanently.
“I’m trying to use it to kick on.”
The defender has Football League and National League experience with Doncaster, Rochdale and York City, with John keen to use that to improve his teammates.
The 26-year-old added: “I just want to help the boys.
“We’ve got a good, young group this year – and it’s just about giving my experiences, and helping them along the journey.
“We were close last year, and obviously my experience at other clubs have been of challenging for promotion.
“So, I just want to use that here – and let us achieve what we want to achieve.”
