A Hartlepool United XI will visit local neighbours FC Hartlepool on Saturday 6th July as Pools’ opening pre-season fixture. Kick-off has now been brought forward to 1pm to avoid a potential clash with the Euros’ quarter-finals.
FC Hartlepool have provided the following spectator information for those looking to attend the game at Grayfields:
Tickets
The game will be strictly ticket-only and they must be purchased prior to the day of the game. Tickets will be limited to around 2,000.
Tickets are priced at £8 adult, £4 concession (over 65) and £2 U16. Both cash and card are accepted.
U16’s are required to be accompanied by an adult at the game and will be unable to purchase a ticket alone. However, more than one U16 can attend with an adult.
Tickets can only be purchased from FC Hartlepool’s clubhouse – The Pavilion Bar at Grayfields. Their opening hours are:
- Monday to Thursday (4pm to 10:30pm)
- Friday (2pm to 11pm)
- Saturday (9am to 11pm)
- Sunday 9am to (10:30pm)
Tickets will go on sale from Sunday 23rd June at 9am. No reservations will be made, with tickets sold on a first come basis.

Parking
With a large crowd anticipated, FC Hartlepool have arranged for extra parking in order to ensure no disruption is caused to local residents.
- Jesmond Road Primary School – this is restricted to 40 spaces (of which 4 are disabled) and tickets to park here must be purchased in advance when purchasing matchday tickets. Spaces cost £3 and FC will be donating any proceeds back to the School.
- Thornhill Gardens allotment entrance – there will be a designated parking area on the fields.
All parking will be at the owners own risk and FC Hartlepool will accept no liability for any loss or damage.
Spectators are urged not to park on the local streets and cause any inconvenience to local residents. Parking wardens may attend the local area. Spectators are urged to park responsibly.
Spectators should be aware that the official club car park is reserved for officials and players only.
Admission
To allow a greater number of spectators access the facility and pitch, the following access and entry points will be open before and after the game at Grayfields:
- Main gate to car park (Jesmond Gardens) – this will be the main access to the facility with two entrance points.
- Second gate on Jesmond Gardens.
- Junior pitch entrance (at the back of the Pavilion) – this will be the closest access to those parking on the grass at Thornhill Gardens.
The Club advise spectators to arrive early before kick-off to avoid congestion.
There will be a process in place to avoid multiple use of the same ticket.
Strictly no liquid is allowed to be brought onto site and inspections will be taking place at the point of admission.
Facilities
Spectators should be aware that FC Hartlepool are currently developing a section of the ground to upgrade their facilities, however it won’t be ready in time for the fixture and therefore will be out of use.
Bar facilities will be open before, during and after the game but will be structured in line with FA and police guidance. No alcohol is to be consumed in view of the pitch.
Pavilion bar:
- Both before kick-off and at half-time, the Pavilion bar will be open.
- Following the game, the Pavilion bar will be exclusive for club officials and main sponsors until 4:15pm.
- After 4:15pm, the Pavilion bar will be open to the public and will showing the Euros.
Outside marquee/bar:
- Before, during and after the game, the outside marquee bar will be serving a selection of draft and non-draft alcohol.
Food/catering:
- A selection of outside hot and cold catering will be available including a burger/Greek and hotdog facility; confectionery and soft drinks stall.
