Cross looking forward to the occasion on Tuesday night

Academy Manager, Alex Cross, is relishing the occasion as his young side prepare to play at the Prestige Group Stadium on Tuesday night.

Pools Academy welcome Rotherham United to the Prestige Group Stadium in the EFL Youth Alliance (7pm kick-off).

Cross believes the night will provide a memorable opportunity for his side to express themselves on a big stage.

“The players are really looking forward to it,” he stated.

“It’s a great chance for them to play at the Stadium with supporters and first-team players in attendance.

“We’re also looking forward to welcoming several new Academy players to the game.

“We know what challenges Rotherham will bring so we’ll have to be at our best, but we feel as though we can hurt them with the many threats we have in our side.

“The support is greatly appreciated and we look forward to seeing you on Tuesday night.”
