Hartlepool United Community Sports Foundation Armed Forces Veterans HUB

The aim of the HUB is to facilitate Veterans and long-serving Armed Force members to meet face-to-face in a relaxed safe and social environment, enjoying free light refreshments and conversation to combat loneliness and social isolation.

The HUB brings together many of the ex-forces’ associations in the town, including the Hartlepool Town’s Armed Forces Liaison Group co-ordinated by John Dauncey from HUCSF.

During the session, John will give details of up-and-coming events in the town and where applicable across the country, as well as the latest information and advice.

The HUB often plays host to guest speakers from varying support agencies including employability, training, physical and mental health, and specialised projects such as drugs and alcohol.

The HUB regularly run activities outside of the normal meeting days for both Veterans and their families. These include visits to museums, Remembrance events and organised sports sessions such as bowls, badminton and walking football.

The HUB is totally free to join. No matter what service you have been in, there is always a warm welcome with some service banter just waiting.
