Club appoints Executive Director

Hartlepool United Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Tony Webster as Executive Director.

Tony will immediately take up a Club Director position and work closely with the existing senior leadership team, with an initial focus on off-field operations and commercial.

Tony arrives at The Prestige Group Stadium with over 20 years of senior leadership experience in CEO and MD positions and holds an MSc in Sports Directorship.

His appointment follows a recent 12-month spell acting as Chief Executive at Glentoran Football Club, where he served on the Board and was involved in significant growth.

Raj Singh, Chairman of Hartlepool United, said:

“We’re very pleased to welcome Tony to Hartlepool United.

“He is an experienced individual who brings a wealth of senior leadership with him.

“We believe Tony will help support, strengthen and further develop the existing off-field management team, who have made some excellent progress in recent years.”

Webster, Executive Director of Hartlepool United, said:

“I’m excited to be joining Hartlepool United, and I’m ready to hit the ground running.

“From my early discussions with the Club and information I’ve reviewed, it’s clear there is already a strong footing, which not all Clubs at this level have.

“This gives us something solid to build from, and alongside a team that is sat just outside the play-offs, there is an opportunity to realise something very exciting.

“My focus now is to understand every aspect of the business to drive things forward, aligning our operations and commercial activity, ensuring that we have the structures, processes and culture to support long-term, sustainable success.

“There is a huge amount of potential, and I’m looking forward to helping the staff and Club further unlock it.”
