Luke Charman

Charman: I’m really enjoying it out there

Pools attacker Luke Charman features in Tuesday night’s matchday programme, as the 26-year-old comes against his former club Fylde.

The winger returned to the North East in the summer, signing for Pools after spending two years in the North West with Fylde.

“It’s nice to be back home,” he explained.

“It was hard living away and missing my daughter. It’s amazing to be back with her at home and seeing her all the time.

“If you’re not happy off the pitch, you’re not going to play at your best. Being back with my family has been excellent and I definitely feel a lot better.

“I feel like I’m coming towards my best now. I struggled with a few knocks in pre-season but the last few games have felt really good, I’m really enjoying it out there.

“I feel a freedom to go and express myself in the final third. We move the ball well in midfield and it gives myself and the attack the opportunity to create chances and score goals.”

The full interview with Charman can be found in Tuesday’s matchday programme.
