Hartlepool United Community Sport Foundation are proud to present Club captain Tom Parkes with the PFA Community Champion Award

The PFA Community Champion Award recognises professional footballers who support local community initiatives, charity work and Club Foundations.

Keith Nobbs, Foundation Manager said “Tom Parkes, Club Captain has long been recognised as a leader on the pitch, but his impact extends far beyond matchdays. His involvement in community initiatives has made him a natural fit for recognition as PFA Community Champion. Hartlepool United congratulates Tom on this well-earned recognition and thanks the PFA for their continued support of community work across the game. Tom has made a positive impact in our community activities co-ordinating player visits, strengthening health and wellbeing for the participants developing good relationships with Hartlepool United and the local community especially our adult disability group.

Tom said, “Being named PFA Community Champion means a lot to me, football gives us a platform and using it to support our community is something I’m incredibly proud of helping to inspire children and adults”.
