A busy schedule for our youth teams…

Our U17s are on home soil twice this week in both National League and Cup action while our U16s are back on the road. Finally, it’s a double fixture week for our SYT’s who are both home and away.

U17s

Our U17s are on home soil twice this week: On Wednesday, Gary Liddle’s side return to National League action as they welcome Blyth Spartans to Brierton Community Sports Centre (14:00pm). On Friday, our U17s face Newcastle Benfield in the next round of the National League Cup (14:00pm).

Following a 4-2 loss to Oldham Athletic last time out in the National League, Pools will look to bounce back with a win that could see them rise to fourth in the table.

Blyth sit 3rd in the National League with 16 points after seven games, a win over Pools would see them go top of the league.

After a 4-0 victory against Heaton Stannington in the 1st round of the National League Cup, our U17s continue their campaign against Newcastle Benfield.

The visitors defeated Oldham Athletic 2-0 in the first round despite sitting 11th in the league with just one point in four games.

U16s

Our U16s return to JPL Premier League action this week as they travel to Harrogate Town on Saturday (12:00pm).

Damian Shanahan’s side will look to get back to winning ways, following a disappointing 7-1 loss last weekend.

Our newly formed U16s sit seventh in the league with four points after five matches, a win could see them go above Harrogate and into fifth.

Saturday’s visitors are fifth in the JPL Premier league, with four points after five games. The visitors have played the least number of matches in the division.

Last week, The Sulphurites defeated Stockton Town 2-0.

SYT

Our SYT’s are on both the road and at home this Wednesday, participating in the National Football Youth League and Northeast College League action.

Our NFYL team welcome Spennymoor Town to Brierton Community Centre while our NECL travel to Tyne Met.
