George Evans believes Hartlepool United can return to winning ways as they make the trip to face Eastleigh in the Enterprise National League on Saturday.
Speaking to the local press, the loaner goalkeeper described the Spitfires as “another tough game.
“I think every game at this time of the season is tough, but we can come away with all three points, hopefully”, said Evans.
Last time out, Pools were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Wealdstone, with Alex Reid netting emphatically for the hosts three minutes in.
“The league is very tight, obviously. Playing Wealdstone, ideally you want to get a win, but at the same time you don’t want to lose the game.
“We take the positives from a draw, but I think second half we probably could have put the game to bed.”
Pools are currently unbeaten in the last five league matches, winning two and drawing three.
On the run of form, the goalkeeper said:
“It (fixture schedule) gets a lot busier the closer you get to Christmas, we are unbeaten in five games now.
“I think that momentum will take us into that time of the year very well.
“Our shape and discipline have gotten a lot better; our phases of play have gotten a lot better aswell.
“We’ve come out of a tough spell from a couple of months ago, the only way is up I think.”
